Dordogne

Today I bring to you a excellent place to go on vacantions, Dordogne, a region of France.

As you know I am passionate about France and all about this great Country, and I have found this region with great houses to rent, which are really beautiful.

But lets talk a little about Dordogne, this is a departament of Aquitaine full of Castles and Chateaux (which are like small palaces in the middle of the country), its located at the south-west France between the Atlantic Ocean and the Pyrenees Mountains. On this region also are some museums, some roman ruins and specially some very good scenery and landscapes.

Some of the main cities of Dordogne are Périguaux ( the place of the roman ruins), Bergerac (probably the place of birth of Cyrano de Bergerac), Nontron, Périgord (with a medieval fortress) and Sarlat-la-Canéda.

So there is a lot to see at this region, and also great places do stay, like some private hollidays villas at Perigord-Noir , or some hollidays gites to rent at Perigord Poupre.

When the hollidays arrive, and if you are in France, you do have to visit la Dordogne!

Laberinto de un fauno rating

Today I have seen a great spanish movie, Laberinto de un Fauno.

It is a great story passed in 1944 in a Spain ruled by the dictator Franco and its fascist army.

At a first glance, it seems a story for children, with fairies and a faun, a princess and its underground castle, but it is to violent for the small ones.

The filme shows the cruelty of a spanish army captain, and the fight of the spanish rebels.

At the end its a very touching movie, and in a scale of 10 values, i would rate this movie with an 8.5.

It is really a good movie!

One of the things I like it in London its the transportation system from the airports to the center of London and to near the main hotels in the city.

There are fast transports by train from and to London, the faster transports take about 15 minutes journey by train from or to Paddington station, its the Heathrow Express at a interval of 15 minutes, it is a quality transport, very modern, fast and confortable, it costs £15.50.

The cheapest transport its the Piccadilly Line to central London, it takes about 50 minutes and it cost about £3.50 for a Oyster Card or £4 for a paper ticket.

But ones can always take a combined of Train and Taxi, Its the Heathrow Express till Paddington and a taxi to final destination and the total costs can vary from £45 to £60.

The main thing its that having a trip to Heathrow Hotels, Gatwick Hotels, London Airport hotels or Stansted Hotels there are several kinds of transportation for each one of them from train to Buses or subway.
